· 7 min read · By EasyExecute

Options can lose money in ways that surprise a new trader. The fix is simple: see the whole result before you trade. That is what the Strategy Builder does.

Strategy Builder with a bull call spread and its payoff graph
A Bull Call Spread: maximum profit and loss, break-even, margin and the payoff graph.

What you see before you trade

A payoff graph: profit above the line, loss below it, and the break-even where the line crosses zero.
  • Maximum profit and maximum loss, and what share of your funds the loss would be.
  • Break-even and risk to reward.
  • Chance of profit, time value and intrinsic value.
  • Funds and margin estimate, so you know what the strategy needs.
  • Payoff graph with open-interest bars, a payoff table, a profit and loss table, the Greeks and a strategy chart.
  • Sliders that move the target price and the date.

12 ready-made strategies

They are grouped as Bullish, Bearish, Neutral and Others. Use “Add trades” to build straddles, strangles, a strikes table or futures positions of your own. You can also start from your open positions, a saved strategy or a draft.

From idea to order in a few steps

  1. 1
Pick the underlying and the expiry

Choose an index or stock and an expiry.

  2. 2
    Choose or build the strategy

Start from a template, or add each trade yourself.

  3. 3
    Read the result

Check the graph, the break-even and the margin. Change a strike and watch the numbers move.

  4. 4
    Draft it or place it

Add to Drafts to save it without placing anything. Or Trade All: name it, choose market or limit orders with a stop-loss and target, review, and place.

A placed strategy appears on Positions with its fill prices and live profit and loss. A strategy placed together counts as one trade in your trade journal.
